I do. In fact, I consider myself a walking, talking miracle. My life has been extraordinary, and I share my story of miraculous healing in my book, ‘Prayed Out! My Miraculous ICU Journey.’ Through my experiences, I've learned that miracles are more than rare occurrences. They are Divine interventions that profoundly shape our lives...
What is a miracle?
But what exactly is a miracle? Traditionally, it's an extraordinary event that can't be explained by natural or scientific laws. It defies our understanding and shows the power of God. In a world that often seeks logical explanations for everything, miracles remind us that some things transcend this realm and reignite our faith in God.
God is a God of Miracles Today, Yesterday and Forevermore
God is indeed a God of miracles. Throughout history, He has shown His greatness in awe-inspiring ways. One of the most remarkable examples is from the Bible when God delivered the Israelites from Egypt, parting the Red Sea for their safe passage while the Egyptian army drowned behind them (Exodus 14). This act demonstrated God's unwavering commitment to His people.
However, some people often think, "I would believe in miracles if I saw one myself." Even the Israelites, who witnessed incredible miracles, fell into disbelief and forgetfulness. Like them, we can easily overlook the extraordinary in the ordinary and lose sight of the daily miracles in our lives.
Miracle of Dunkirk
In 2025, we will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. One notable event during this period was the Dunkirk evacuation, also known as the "Miracle of Dunkirk." In May 1940, despite dire circumstances, hundreds of thousands of British troops were miraculously saved by civilian boats. This event showed that salvation can come unexpectedly, and God’s providence can intervene even in the bleakest situations.
Everyday miracles
Miracles can happen on smaller scales too, like the start of a new day or the healing of relationships. These miracles remind us that God is actively involved in our lives. If you're doubtful, invite God into your life and believe in miracles. Matthew 21:22 says that if we ask in prayer and believe, we will receive.
Whether you’re a firm believer or a sceptic waiting for tangible evidence, miracles are happening all around us. Believe in them, seek them out, and remain open to the incredible ways God can work in your life. You might find that you are part of a miraculous story too!
